7.Work experience in the area of specialisation

(Questions 7 (a) and (b) are intended to assess the level of actual work experience of persons who have recently acquired a specialty qualification. It should be recognised that a post graduate qualification that entitles the applicant to apply for registration as a specialist, may not automatically entitle the applicant to specialist registration. They must demonstrate that they are accepted by their colleagues and peers as possessing specialist knowledge & skills.)

(Question 7 (c) is intended to assess the commitment to continuing professional development of persons who have possessed their specialist qualification for some time before applying for registration. It may not be very relevant to recent graduates, but it should be answered where possible.)
